Boxing Day Festivities

Well, a fine old morning's entertainment was had by all (especially the spectators!!) - good to see plenty of support for all age groups...

The U16s combined with the U15s, in substantial numbers ("Get 'em on the pitch" appeared to be the motto....) and frankly kicked substantial (in some cases, you know who you are) arse - an easy victory against some aged, overweight, out of shape, wheezing opposition - in some cases, divine intervention was summoned - didn't help....

The good news, on balance, was that Steve W didn't drop the ball so often this year - mind you, he didn't touch it so often!!

The kids won, and won comfortably, and some parents, no names, no pack-drill, Steve Parker, chewed considerable amounts of Longford Lane turf - never a good idea - mind you, if you have a caption for the photo, especially that errant hand, you know what to do....

As ever, always good to see fine former players turning out and, kind of, keeping up with play - Deacs....

Afterwards, there was food-aplenty, with the highlight (apart from my sausage rolls) being Brian's pickled shallots - I told you not to have more than 6, Jackie!!

Bosch!! Well, Stellenbosch, Actually....

Thought you might be interested - some definitive gen on the poss law changes from the horse's mouth - well, from Paddy O'Brian, anyway - think these might be trialled in the Super14s - not sure if in '08 or '09... Current thinking looks like '08... Should be, er, different.... Can just see our lot coping with this - it's taken 'em years to learn these rules!!

Boxing Day

Don't forget - there will be some limbering up, as little running around as possible, and some eating & drinking at the Club on Boxing Day - be there, or don't get flattened by Rich Parker!!

Well Done Christian!!

Not sure how many of you know this, but Christian is playing in trial matches for the Welsh Exiles team at the moment - he's in the running for a place against Scotland on 17th February - so well done, and fingers crossed - now all Mark needs to do is get him to look at the camera!!

Another Christmas Caption Competition

To follow on from the pictures of Andy looking like a trainee gynaecologist (sorry about that - but you have to admit, he does look puzzled), here's another - name the interested parties....

Christmas Caption Competition.....

Now then, what could Deacs possibily be doing here?? Something to keep you occupied until the 26th... Perhaps more worryingly, why's Nell helping him?? Answers on a Comment to this Blog...
PS. Whilst I think of it, a supplementary question - some of you are excluded from answering - you'll know why - name the U16s parent most likely to stab himself in the leg with a Sabatier knife at a cake judging competition... Then drive home....
